Community Guidelines
Last updated: May 2026
This is a free, community-run platform for the Tamil diaspora. The rules below exist to keep posts accurate, discussions helpful, and TamilFeed useful for everyone.
Using this site means you agree to follow these rules. If you do not agree, please do not post or comment.
1. Posting Content
- Only post content that is real and currently relevant. If a deal or event has expired, do not post it.
- Link directly to the business website or event page. Do not use redirect or shortener links.
- For business posts, include the business name, what is being offered, and any conditions — location, hours, expiry date.
- Search before posting. If the content is already listed, upvote it instead of creating a duplicate.
- Do not post the same content more than once to push it up in the feed.
- If you are the business owner, say so clearly. Do not post as if you are a regular community member who found the offer.
- Do not use inflated prices to make a discount look bigger than it actually is.
2. Comments and Votes
- Use comments to add useful information — expiry updates, corrections, conditions not mentioned, or your personal experience.
- If you tried a deal or visited a business and it was great, say so. If it was not good, say that too. Either way it helps others.
- Be respectful. Disagree with a post, not with a person. Personal attacks, ethnic insults, or harassment are not allowed.
- Vote honestly. Upvote posts that are genuinely useful. Downvote posts that are expired, wrong, or misleading. Do not vote-farm or organise voting groups.
3. What Is Not Allowed
- Deals that are fake, expired, or materially misleading.
- Affiliate or referral links that personally benefit you without clear disclosure.
- Spam, repetitive posting, or self-promotion disguised as a deal.
- Offensive, discriminatory, or harmful content of any kind.
- Sharing another person's private information.
- Creating multiple accounts to bypass restrictions or inflate your vote count.
- Any content that violates the laws of your country or jurisdiction.
4. Moderation
We review new deals before they go live. We may remove, edit, or reject any post that does not meet these guidelines.
We are not required to give a reason for every decision.
Accounts that repeatedly break these rules may be suspended or permanently banned.
If you think a post or comment was removed by mistake, contact us.
5. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines at any time without prior notice. Continued use of this site after any change means you accept the updated version.
The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
