Tamil Grammar Basics: Pronouns and Case Markers தமிழ் இலக்கண அடிப்படைகள்: பதிலிடுச்சொற்களும் வேற்றுமை உருபுகளும்
Tamil often attaches short endings to nouns to show how they relate to the rest of a sentence. Start with pronouns and a few useful forms built from familiar nouns.
தமிழ் பதிலிடுச்சொற்களையும் பெயர்ச்சொற்களுடன் சேரும் வேற்றுமை உருபுகளையும் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். இடம், திசை, செயப்படுபொருள், உடைமை ஆகியவற்றைக் குறிக்கும் சொல் வடிவங்களை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகளுடன் பாருங்கள்.
Compare each Tamil word with its base form. The English meaning may need a separate preposition, while Tamil can show the relationship with an ending.
- நான் (nāṉ) means “I”; நீங்கள் (nīṅkaḷ) is commonly polite “you” or plural “you.”
- Noun endings can express location, direction, or an object relationship.
- Sound and spelling may change when an ending joins a noun; learn the complete form as a word.
Pronouns: who is speaking? பதிலிடுச்சொற்கள்: யார் பேசுகிறார்கள்?
Pronouns identify the speaker, listener, or another person. Choose the form that fits the relationship and setting.
பேசுபவர், கேட்பவர் அல்லது மற்றொருவரைக் குறிக்கப் பதிலிடுச்சொற்கள் பயன்படுகின்றன. உறவுக்கும் சூழலுக்கும் பொருத்தமான வடிவத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கவும்.
