Build Tamil Sentences: Word Order, Questions, and Negation தமிழ் வாக்கியங்களை அமைத்தல்
Start with a subject, add the place or thing you are talking about, and put the verb at the end. Then practise turning the sentence into a question or a negative statement. These examples use common standard forms.
சொல் வரிசை, கேள்வி, எதிர்மறை வாக்கியம் ஆகியவற்றைப் பயிற்சி செய்து எளிய தமிழ் வாக்கியங்களை அமைக்கக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள். தமிழில் வினைச்சொல் பொதுவாக வாக்கியத்தின் இறுதியில் வரும்.
A useful starter pattern is subject + other information + verb. Tamil endings carry meaning, so learn each pattern in a complete example.
- A basic Tamil sentence commonly places the verb at the end.
- An -ஆ (-ā) ending can form a yes-or-no question in examples such as பேசுகிறீர்களா?
- Negative forms can change with tense and verb; learn them as phrases before generalizing.
Put the verb at the end வினைச்சொல்லை இறுதியில் இடுங்கள்
Compare the Tamil order with English. The verb completes the Tamil sentence.
தமிழ் வாக்கிய வரிசையையும் ஆங்கில வரிசையையும் ஒப்பிடுங்கள். தமிழ் வாக்கியத்தில் வினைச்சொல் இறுதியில் வருகிறது.
